Uzume is an interactive installation, which was created in cooperation with Petra Gemeinböck at the CAVE of Stuttgart´s Fraunhofer Institute. The project seeks to generate a dynamic space by means of an interactive real-time system, which is not designed as an ready product, but which algorithmically changes with the visitors of the installation. By this the users should have the possibility to actively communicate with the (virtual) space. Uzume is an autarkic, chaotic form of life, which communicates with its visitiors and develops a language of its own, which is not always comprehensible. With the attribute of constant change and the possibility to interpret any input by its own rules, Uzume is kind of a “personality” which forces the visitors to modulate his actions too and thereby creating a unique, interactive relationship between human and computer.
